Word Wednesday.::224

Word Wednesday is posted every Wednesday. Each week I post a scripture that I've read that week that has spoken to me in a fresh way. I believe that if we read God's Word every day, He will give us at least one scripture every week that will impact us. Sharing Scripture with each other is like iron sharpening iron. Leave a comment and share a scripture that has impacted you this week.

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

Job 9:4 NKJV

"God is wise in heart and mighty in strength.
Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?"

Beautiful and profound verse from Job.

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

Job 2:9-10 NKJV

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Perspective is huge. Life is good & sometimes not so good. It's God's plan.....it doesn't mean He isn't there or that he doesn't care anymore. It's His will, not ours. Keep the faith.

Nehemiah 8:9 NKJV

"And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

May we passionate for God and His Word. So passionate that it brings emotion.

Album Review - The Invisible

I Timothy 1:17 says, "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."

This has been one of my favorite verses for several years now, so when I saw that Daniel Bashta was putting out an album inspired by this great passage, I was stoked.

I'm so glad to see another album come out by this great, passionate artist.

Here's my favorites:

-"Praise the Invisible": I'm actually late on posting this review, because of this song. I honestly couldn't get past it for a while. It was one of those songs that I kept wanting to hear and sing. I had some worship moments in my car with this one...very much inspired by I Timothy 1:17.

-"Deliver Us": I was instantly intrigued by the strings. I loved the production of this one. I was really struck by this one because he used a phrase that I found this past fall in Mark 9:24 - "Heal my unbelief". Beautiful song.

-"Undone": Catchy, singable tune that could be done in church very easily.

Those are just my favorites. I truly love the whole album, just as I did his last one.

Thank you Daniel, for being such a sensitive writer to the Holy Spirit. I look forward to seeing all the songs to come in the future.

Possibly my favorite American Idol Audition ever...

...mainly because I loathe American Idol.

I haven't watched American Idol in, literally, years.

In my opinion...it's completely lame.

It's a karaoke contest where the winner gets a record contract, and few winners have really gone on and done something great...

...but the other night, I sat down to watch TV, and without cable, my options were slim and horrible. American Idol was my best option.

This made me glad I watched. It just cracked me up, because no one saw it coming...
