II Samuel 24:14 NKJV

"And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies aregreat; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

It's always better to be in the hands of God, instead of the hands of man, especially when it comes to justice.

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

II Samuel 18:33 NKJV

"Then the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept. And as he went, he said thus: “O my son Absalom—my son, my son Absalom—if only I had died in your place! O Absalom my son, my son!”

This scripture always moves me every time I come by it. A true father's love....after all Absalom had done, David still loved him. Very much a picture of our Heavenly Father's love for us.
