Word Wednesday.::201

Word Wednesday is posted every Wednesday. Each week I post a scripture that I've read that week that has spoken to me in a fresh way. I believe that if we read God's Word every day, He will give us at least one scripture every week that will impact us. Sharing Scripture with each other is like iron sharpening iron. Leave a comment and share a scripture that has impacted you this week.

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

Joshua 10:12-14 NKJV

12 Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon;
And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
13 So the sun stood still,
And the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge
Upon their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to godown for about a whole day. 14 And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.

This miracle of God blows mind every time I read it. An amazing God and amazing faith on the part of Joshua.

Word Wednesday.::200

Here's the scripture that stuck this week:

Joshua 1:8 NKJV

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

The fact that this is the 200th Word Wednesday on my blog makes my scripture this week so appropriate. I was told to memorize this scripture many years ago and I've never forgotten it, which is really the whole point of this scripture. Make God's Word a priority and passion in your life and then you will see prosperity and success....according to God, of course.

Also, since this is the 200th Word Wednesday, the first 2 people who comment with a favorite scripture and why will get a free download of my new album, Jesus EP......so......comment away! (include your email in the comment)

Word Wednesday.::199

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 NKJV

“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

Notice it doesn't say "fight with you". It says "fight for you against your enemies". Maybe if we invested more in our faith and walk with God, rather than in our own human defense methods, which means externally and internally, we would see more victory in our life...you know......victory in JESUS.
