Santa is Selfish

We did the whole "Santa milk and cookies" routine this year. It was the first year that Josh really got into it. So, on Christmas morning, when Josh woke up and discovered that Santa had eaten all the cookies, he reacted in true Josh form. Enjoy the video:

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and yours. This is definitely a time to think about others and spend quality time with your family. I am doing this by watching figure skating accompanied by Clay Aiken with my mother-in-law. You can't get much more unselfish than that.

Polar Bears

I was just in Minnesota a couple of weeks ago, and my son cracked me up. I was there for about a week, and I talked to him on the phone everyday. Every time we talked, he asked me if I was in the snow, and I said yes, because it was crazy cold up there and there was a lot of snow. Then after he asked me that, he told me to watch for the polar bears, because they were very mean. So, basically, he was probably picturing me in a wilderness of snow surrounded by a bunch of polar bears. Kids are funny.

It's December 11th, 2007.
I'm 30.
That's 3 decades.
That's 10 times older
than my son.

I'm not bummed.
I'm looking forward
to this season of life.
It's kind of like
embarking into the
seasoned part of life.

Christmas Ham

My son, Joshua, had his first school Christmas program last night. He was definitely hamming it up. It was a very cool experience to watch him on the stage doing his thing. Check out the video:
